Words are my passion. I've been writing since I was very young. As a teenager, essays and poetry helped me win my first overseas trip via a newspaper competition.
Over the past 10 years I've had several textbooks and management reports published and I am also editor of a technical journal. I am a member of the Society of Women Writers and Journalists, which gives me access to a press card.
My business articles are published on a number of websites. Successes in creative writing include first prize in a short story competition in 2008 and a recent win in an open poetry competition. In November 2009, one of my short stories was published by Totnes bookshop in an anthology called Fourteen Stories. (This book is out of print, but I have a few signed copies left at £6.99 a copy.)
Last summer, I published an e-book called 'Sunshine and Sausages' - a light-hearted look at running a successful bbq or summer garden party. Copies of this ebook can be purchased via my website as a download or directly from me on CD at £3.99.
Since August 2009, I have been running the Chudleigh Writers' Circle - a thriving goup of more than 20 local writers who meet monthly in the Town Hall.
In October 2009, I relaunched the Chudleigh Phoenix together with a fellow Guild member. We have now published 4 issues and are increasing our number of pages from 4 to 6 in June. The Phoenix is distributed both electronically and in hard copy and already has a readership of several hundreds.
If you have trouble with written words - call me. I can work with you to write articles or develop website copy. I offer a proof-reading and editing service. Whatever your writing needs - I can help.
