When Excel Travel failed last year it was a huge loss to the travel industry as they were the third largest tour operator within the UK. I managed to rebook every single one of my customers on a new holiday without them having to repay any funds. A little about me, well I have lived in Chudleigh for almost 10 years now, and both of my children have attended Chudleigh School, my eldest now at Teign. I have worked as a travel agent for 24 years, since leaving college after completing a travel and tourism course. I am passionate about my job, and for the last 10 year have worked from home for Instant Holidays then Personal Travel Advisors (both part of the Future Travel Group). Previous to that I have worked on the high street for a major UK travel agent, 10 years of which I was a successful manager, twice winning a shop of the year award.
I can book anything you can book in a high street travel agent, but without the restriction of being told who to sell and who not to. Anything from worldwide flights, family holidays, weddings abroad, honeymoons, UK breaks, city breaks, cruises and way beyond. I have travelled extensively around the world, my favourite places I have visited are Cape Town, closely followed by San Diego. favourite family destination, of course has to be Florida, although I have visited Turkey approx 17 times..... Lanzarote last summer was fantastic too, so much so we have rebooked to go again in August!
I have many loyal customers many of who are professional people who appreciate a great deal without the need to sit in a travel agent all day to get it. I have several clients who are Devon and Cornwall police officers, who come back to me year after year and also recommend me to their friends and family.
